The simplest and most cost effective way to get an experience flight in a Gyrocopter is to attend one our our group experience sessions.  Each session will cater for around 5 people.  Most people will have never flown in a Gyrocopter before so you will be with like minded people.

The session will start with a joint briefing which includes an introduction to Gyrocopters, explanations of how they fly and the important safety briefing.  Your instructor will also show you around the Gyrocopter explaining the controls and how things work.  Then each attendee will get a flight in a Gyrocopter lasting around 25 minutes. If you wish you will have the opportunity to take the controls and fly the Gyrocopter for yourself.  Otherwise you can sit back and enjoy the spectacular view.

During the experience the pilot will take off from the airfield and fly at around 800 ft above the ground.  From this height you will be able to see what is going on in the world below you.  There is nothing quite like the experience of the wind in your face as you fly at one with the world in this "motorbike of the sky"!  Following your flight we defy you not to have the "Gyrocopter Grin" plastered to your face.

This flight is in accordance with exercise 3 of the CAA syllabus and will contribute torwards your flying hours if you do decide to train to be a Gyrocopter pilot.

Group experience flights are held on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month from 10am to 2pm.  They are in demand so you generally need to book at least 8 weeks in advance.  We are, of course, dependant on the weather and you will be required to contact us for a weather check on the day.  If a session does get cancelled it will be rescheduled to a date which suits. 

Attending a Gyrocopter Experience event will cost £90 per person.  Up to two spectators per flying attendee are welcome at no addtiional charge and may attend all the briefing and discussion sessions.  Additional spectators are also welcome by prior arrangement as classroom space is limited.

• Weight: Up to 14.5 Stone
• Height:  Up to 6 ft 2
